IRCTC a service of Indian Railways has now join hands with Citibank to offer installments on tickets. This EMI option is only available to Citibank credit card holders. Payment in installments is a very useful option for people who have to book tatkal tickets that cost too much and mostly when they are premium.

To get this installment service, IRCTC users/customers will have to click on the EMI alternative on the installment screen, rather than credit/debit card, cash card, and netbanking account. Users will then need to choose Citibank from the dropdown, encourage in their Citibank credit card points of interest and approve the installment of the whole ticket passage. You can then pay back Citibank in regularly scheduled payments. We expect more banks will sign up to offer the administration.

The Indian Railways as of late had launched IRCTC application for Android, in the wake of having released the application for Blackberry 10 clients in August, and Windows Phone 8 clients last September.  Although, there were very less users than compared to android. So, on demand they have planned to release an android app for the users who travel more and need to book ticket on the go.

This android app is named as IRCTC Connect, the new official Indian Railways application for Android can now be downloaded for free from Google Play India, and is around 12mb of data size. The application is perfect with gadgets running Android 4.1 or more.

As on different stages, the Official IRCTC Connect application for Android permits clients to book track tickets, separated from checking reservation status, train timetables, train courses, accessibility of tickets, abrogation, booking history, late history, top choices, and that's just the beginning.
